Alex Gale Lewno, son of Duane Sr. and Shirley (Morgan) Lewno, was born April 21, 1969 in Seattle, Washington. In his younger years they lived in South Dakota and various places with his father being in the military. He graduated from Princeton High School in West Virginia. Alex was united in marriage to Theresa Lee Kade on November 28, 1987 in West Virginia. They moved to South Dakota in 1999 and he was employed as a plumber with Ekern Plumbing in Brookings and Andor Plumbing and Heating in Watertown. He died on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at his residence in Estelline at the age of 43 years. Alex loved cooking and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Theresa of Estelline; a son Shawn Douglas Lewno of Estelline; his parents, Duane Sr. and Shirley Lewno of Castlewood; a brother Duane Lewno Jr (Frances) of Watertown; a niece Tabitha Lewno (Andrew Bock) and their son Ryley Bock; and a host of other relatives and friends. His funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Geise Funeral Chapel in Castlewood. Visitation will be one hour preceding services on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials in Alex's memory.
