Alfred G. Andrews, son of Andrew and Dena (Olson) Andrews, was born July 18, 1929 in Hamlin County, South Dakota. He spent his early years and received his education in rural school in Hamlin County. Alfred was employed at the Lake Norden Creamery which is now Davisco from 1953 until his retirement in 1991. Alfred died on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the Homestead Assisted Living in Lake Norden at the age of 83 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Norden and a past member of the Eagles Club. He enjoyed photography. Grateful for having shared his life are three brothers, Elwood Andrews and his wife Gayle of Lake Norden, James Andrews and his wife Marla of Lake Preston, SD, Frank Andrews and his wife Janet of Lake Norden; three sisters, Violet Andrews, Jane Espland and Hope Clark, all of Lake Norden; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Earl, John and Roger, and two sisters, Irene and Esther. His funeral service will be 1:30 PM Friday, May 3, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Norden. Burial will be at Garfield Lutheran Cemetery, rural Bryant, SD and visitation will be from 4PM to 7PM Thursday at Geise Funeral Chapel in Lake Norden.
