Dennis Hayes, Officiating Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery Watertown, South Dakota Alvera Amanda (Bihrle) DeVries, daughter of Louis and Tillie (Hauer) Bihrle, was born June 24, 1913 at Milbank, South Dakota. She attended schools there and graduated from Milbank High School. After her marriage to Francis DeVries in Milbank on October 14, 1935 they lived in Ortonville, Minnesota and Watertown, South Dakota Francis died in April of 1987. She entered the Estelline Nursing and Care Center on March 27, 2000 and died there on Saturday, December 27, 2003 at the age of 90 years, 6 months and 3 days. She was a member of St. Martins Lutheran Church in Watertown. Grateful for having shared her life are two sons, Richard DeVries and his wife Connie of Wheaton, IL and Francis DeVries, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Batavia, IL; two grandsons, Franklin DeVries and his wife Michelle of Montgomery, IL and Derek DeVries and his wife Heather of Houston, TX; and one great granddaughter, Emily of Montgomery, IL.
