Angeline "Angie" Wolf was born on March 14, 1934 in Zeeland, North Dakota, the daughter of Mathias and Theresa (Zahn) Wolf. Angie was the middle child of 13 children. She had five brothers and one older sister, and five sisters and one younger brother. Angie lived on a farm near Zeeland and went to a rural school. In 1944, the family moved to a farm near Raymond, South Dakota. At first, Angie did not want to make the move. When they told her there would be no more rocks to pick, she was okay with moving. She continued her education at Logan Consolidated School near Raymond. She graduated from high school at Logan Consolidated in 1953. Angie continued her education at Northern State College in Aberdeen and received her Teacher's Certificate. Angie taught school in Estelline Township at a rural school South of Castlewood. She stayed at the Verner and Amy Bjorklund farm across the road from the school house. There, she also met her future husband. Angie was united in marriage to Loren Dean Bjorklund on April 22, 1955 at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Estelline, SD. Loren and Angie moved to a farm between Estelline and Castlewood, east of Lake Poinsett. They raised their crops and had pigs, chickens, stock cows and dairy cows over the years. Angie was a devoted helper over the years, especially helping milk the cows. After her four children were older, she began working at Stone Bridge Resort on Lake Poinsett. Angie then went to work at the Red Carpet in Estelline from 1976 until 1991. She worked for several years at the Moose Crossing in Estelline. Angie retired from restaurant work to help take care of her mother-in-law. A tragic car accident on August 31, 1996 took the lives of their son, daughter-in-law and grandson. Angie spent a lot of time at the hospital with her granddaughter, Jericka after the accident. Jericka became extra special to her and they would keep in touch on the telephone when they weren't able to see each other. Loren and Angie decided to sell the milk cows and spend more time with their grandchildren. They enjoyed watching the grandchildren grow up.Loren Dean passed away on December 7, 2009.
Angie continued to live on the farm with her son, David, and help operate it. She loved to mow the lawn, as she called it "therapy." She enjoyed working outside and loved her flowers. Angie would check the stock cows and let David know when there was a new baby calf. Angie liked to cook and bake for her family and friends, her specialties being apple pie, apple bars, sugar cookies and popcorn balls. One of the highlights every year was the get together with her brothers, sisters and their families at the Wolf Family Reunion. She also enjoyed their letters and calls over the years.
Angie was a member of the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, in Estelline and a member of the Altar Society. Angie entered Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown, on October 31, 2016, and passed away there on November 8, 2016, at the age of 82 years, 7 months, 24 days.
