Anna Mae Aderhold Castlewood, South Dakota Funeral Service 10:30 A.M., Saturday, February 25, 2006 American Lutheran Church Castlewood, South Dakota Rev. John Sandstrom, Officiating Interment Castlewood Cemetery Visitation 4PM to 8PM Friday at the American Lutheran Church with a Prayer Service at 7:30 PM at the church. Anna Mae (Fritz) Aderhold, daughter of Frank and Mary (Virchow) Fritz, was born April 22, 1923 at Huron, South Dakota. When she was a young child her family moved to Lake Preston, South Dakota and she grew up and attended school at Lake Preston, graduating from high school in 1941. Her family then moved to Castlewood and she was employed at Citizens State Bank before her marriage to Kenneth Aderhold on October 22, 1946 in Castlewood. They farmed west of Castlewood for many years until moving into town in 1984. Kenneth died on April 4, 1989 and Anna Mae continued to make Castlewood her home until moving to the Estelline Nursing and Care Center on January 15, 2003. She died there on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 29 days. She was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Castlewood. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Grateful for having shared her life are her eight children, Fred Aderhold and his wife Sue of Sioux Falls, Mary Hefti and her husband Bob of Marshall, MN, Peggy Toms and her husband Ed of Rapid City, SD, Betty McCormick of Canistota, SD, Linda VanDyke and her husband Kim of Chester, MT, Ed Aderhold and his wife Deb and Larry Aderhold and his wife Liz, all of Castlewood, and Gary Aderhold and his wife Jill of Bath, SD; 32 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one brother, Ed Fritz and his wife Bonnie of Watertown, SD; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, her parents, one brother Fred Fritz and one son-in-law, Pat McCormick.
