Beulah A. Hofer Lake Norden, South Dakota Beulah A. Hofer was born on June 3, 1916 in Renner, SD the daughter of Arthur and Sophie (Flamoe) Nessan. She died on Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at the Beverly Health Care Nursing Home in Lake Norden at the age of 87 years. Beulah received her education in rural school in Minnehaha County, near Renner, SD. She was united in marriage to Alvin Hofer on August 8, 1937 n Sioux Falls, SD. After their marriage they farmed in Minnehaha County until moving to Hamlin County in 1955, and later to the Lake Norden area. In 1969, she moved into Lake Norden where she was employed for the City of Lake Norden until her retirement in 1981. Alvin died in November of 1977 in Lake Norden. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Norden and the Elizabeth Circle. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Beulah is survived by one daughter Shirley Thue of Castlewood, SD; two grandchildren; one niece and several nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters.
