Beverly Thue Arlington, South Dakota Beverly Ann (Tanke) Thue, daughter of Lee and Phyllis (Hutt) Tanke, was born March 31, 1943 at Volga, South Dakota. She was raised on the family farm near White, South Dakota and graduated from White High School in 1961. Beverly was united in marriage to Wayne Hillestad on March 11, 1961 and out of this marriage six children were born. She later married Dexter Hoberg. Beverly worked for a time at the Pheasant Caf and Lounge in Brookings and later was the Director of Lincoln County Housing and Redevelopment Authority in Lake Benton, Minnesota. She also worked at the Back Door in Arlington, South Dakota, Arlington Beach Resort and had various other jobs through the years. She was united in marriage to Dennis Thue on June 20, 1987 at rural Arlington. She died on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at her home on Lake Poinsett at the age of 62 years, 8 months and 13 days. She was baptized and confirmed at the Argo Lutheran Church at rural White, South Dakota and also taught Sunday School there for four years. Beverly loved watching football, participating in Fantasy Football, hunting, fishing, gardening, bird watching, spending time outside enjoying nature and following the Space Station. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Dennis of Lake Poinsett; two sons, Randy Hillestad and Tregg Hillestad and his wife Jodi, all of Brookings; three daughters, Tristy Rudebusch of Denver, CO, Rikki Anselm and her husband Marv and Tawna Nash and her husband Doug, all of Brookings; 11 grandchildren; four step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; her mother, Phyllis Tanke of Brookings; two brothers, Paul Tanke and his wife Joyce of Colman, SD, Doug Tanke and his wife Donna of Mesa, AZ; one sister, Diane Vander Wal and her husband Steven of Volga, SD; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. She was preceded in death by her son Kip Destry Hillestad and her father Lee Tanke. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 2PM to 5PM Saturday, December 17, 2005 at Geise Funeral Home in Estelline.
