Carson lived with his family in Washington State and Germany before moving to Maryland in 2009. He would have entered the third grade this fall. Carson died on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in Baltimore, Maryland at the age of 8 years, 1 month and 2 days. He is survived by his parents, Keith and Kaarina of New Windsor, MD; three brothers, Lyle, Neal and Scott; grandparents, Clarence and Marie Koistinen of Lake Norden, SD, Tuomo and Ruth Vuohijoki of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Canada; a great grandmother, Ellen Kangas of Lake Norden; and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
