Catherine A. Linneman was born on January 22, 1913 in Perkins County, South Dakota the daughter of Ole and Irene (Irvin) Johnson. She died on Friday, January 19, 2007 at the Estelline Nursing and Care Center at the age of 93.

Catherine received her education in Erwin, SD and was a graduate of the Erwin High School in 1930. She was united in marriage to Albert Linneman on November 10, 1934 in Estelline, SD. After their marriage they farmed in Deuel County from 1934 until 1978. Catherine was employed at Larson's Commons at SDSU in Brookings and later at various places in Estelline. Albert died on November 28, 1977 in Estelline. Catherine continued to live on the farm until moving to Estelline in 1979. On November 5, 2005, she moved into the Estelline Nursing and Care Center.

She was a member of the St. Francis deSales Catholic Church, the Alter Society, American Legion Auxiliary, Solo's and the Senior Citizens. She enjoyed crocheting, dancing, working on crossword puzzles, playing cards, all sporting events and especially golfing.

Catherine is survived by three sons James 'Jim' Linneman and his wife Barbara of Fort Dodge, IA, Richard 'Dick' Linneman and his wife Marilyn of Watertown, SD, Michael 'Mike' Linneman and his wife Rita of Washburn, IA; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one sister Lois Wales of Aberdeen, SD and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and five sisters.
