Funeral Service 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 7, 2011 Old Apostolic Lutheran Church Lake Norden, South Dakota Visitation 5PM to 8PM Wednesday, July 6, 2011 Old Apostolic Lutheran Church Lake Norden, South Dakota Interment Apostolic Lutheran Cemetery Lake Norden, South Dakota Clark Jerome Kopman, son of Felix and Mary (Kangas) Kopman, was born May 3, 1966 at Vancouver, Washington. As an infant, he moved with his family to rural Bryant, South Dakota and received his education and graduated from Hamlin High School in 1984. After his marriage to Tina Larson on June 25, 1988 at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church at Lake Norden they began farming in Hamlin County. Clark continued to farm with his brother Leonard until the time of his death. He died at the age of 45 years on Saturday, July 2, 2011 with his son Sawyer and cousin Stefan Kemppainen near Hayti, South Dakota as the result of an airplane accident. He was a baptized and confirmed member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. Clark was a devoted and loving husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his wife and children. He loved farming and working on the farm alongside his family. Through out his life he had met and made many dear friends. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Tina of rural Bryant, SD; his children, Samantha, Caleb, Haley, Emmett, Walker and Sydney; his parents, Felix and Mary Kopman of rural Bryant; brothers and sisters, Ann (Jim) Sundberg of Duluth, MN, John (Karen) Kopman of Bryant, Matthew (Rhonda) Kopman of Ariel, WA, Valerie (Michael) Halling of Lake Norden, SD, Leonard (Stephany) Kopman of Bryant, Samuel (Kriistina) Kopman of Woodland, WA, Galen Kopman of Vancouver, WA and Felicia (William) Ek of Woodland, WA; many nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Liz (Lance) Rosenlund of Bryant and his father-in-law, Courtney (Tammy) Larson of Castlewood, SD; and a host of other relatives and friends. Clark was preceded in death by his grandparents and a brother-in-law, Drew Larson.
