Cole Andrew Falconer, 22, of Halstad, MN, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022, due to injuries sustained in a tragic car accident. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Monday, May 16, 2022, at the Estelline American Legion Hall, in Estelline. Cole was born on October 22, 1999, in Corpus Christi, TX, to Shon and Carla (Verhoek) Falconer. As a military child, Cole and his family lived in many different locations. In 2006, they landed in Halstad where Cole started Kindergarten. In 2018, he graduated from Norman County West High School. He enjoyed spending time with friends and recently discovered his love of old cars.

Cole was employed at the Halstad Living Center. He loved his residents and considered many coworkers his family. In his free time, he enjoyed driving the residents around in the golf cart and in the classic cars that belonged to Lance. Cole was so sweet – whenever he came to South Dakota, he made sure to visit everyone before heading back. He had a kind heart and would do anything for anyone. He gave the best hugs and lit up every room with his contagious smile.

Cole and his brother Colin were inseparable. The boys loved to play Grand Theft Auto together and looked forward to seeing each other every chance they could get.

Cole was full of adventure. Always doing what he wanted in the moment, living his life to the fullest. Most recently, his passion was driving around in his 2007 Monte Carlo. Cole had a quirky personality and loved to make people laugh.

Cole is survived by his parents, Shon Falconer of Arlington, SD and Carla Verhoek (Lance Gilbertson) of Halstad, MN; his brother, Colin Falconer of Arlington, SD; paternal grandparents, Vern Falconer of Arlington, SD, Lanis (Ken) Lantgen of Dempster, SD, his maternal grandmother, Rebecca Verhoek 'Gamma Becky' of Estelline. He was dearly loved and will be missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandpa, Orie Verhoek.
