Darald Allen Geise was born July 1, 1924, to Howard and Irene (Rassmussen) Geise in Clark, SD. He grew up in Sherburn, MN and graduated from Sherburn High School.

He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Leota Jean Anderson, on July 27, 1945.

He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in mortuary science. He owned funeral homes in Pipestone, MN and Estelline, SD, before retiring after 35 years of service. After retirement, he moved to Sioux Falls where he lived until his death.

Grateful for having shared his life are his four sons, Randall, Mound, MN, Douglas and his wife, Zoe, Sioux Falls, David and his wife, Kate, Vermillion, SD, and Gregory and his wife, Angela, Sioux Falls; three grandchildren, Ian, Monica, and Ander; and a sister, Colleen Welde, Gulfport, FL.

Darald was preceded in death by his wife, Leota, in 1988.

Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association.
