David Lee Dahl Lakewood, Colorado Formerly of Estelline, SD Funeral service 10:30 A.M. 2 July, 2007 Hamlin Reformed Church, Castlewood, South Dakota Hidewood Township Cemetery, South Dakota Visitation 5PM to 7PM Sunday, 1 July 2007 Geise Funeral Home, Estelline, South Dakota David Lee Dahl, son of Lester and Irene (Chamley) Dahl, was born at St. Anns Hospital in Watertown, S.D. on November 18th 1956 and was baptized in the Hidewood Lutheran Church with Mr. & Mrs. Charles Dahl as sponsors. David was confirmed in the Estelline Trinity Lutheran Church and continued to attend non-denominational churches in the Denver area while he resided in Lakewood, Colorado. David attended all 12 years of grade and high school at Estelline, S.D. where he enjoyed football and band as a percussionist. After graduating in 1975 he attended Watertown Vo-Tech as a dental technician. David was employed in Sioux Falls where he worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital before moving to Colorado in 1986. Colorado and the Rocky Mountains were the playground for his passion for the outdoors where he enjoyed camping, hiking, hunting and fishing. Davids interests expanded into real estate, financial consultation and appraisals while maintaining a career of warehouse management in the paper industry as a valued employee of National Envelope Inc. of Denver, CO since 2001. He died on Sunday, June 24, 2007 at Idaho Springs, Colorado by accidental drowning at the age of 50 years, 7 months and 6 days. David joins his parents and sister Donna, but regretfully leaves sister Judith Dahl and her husband Lee of Prior Lake, Minn., brother James and his wife Anne of Houston, TX, brother Larry and his wife Rita of Estelline, SD. and brother Daniel and his wife Vicki of Watertown, SD. , uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
