Donald Schumacher, Officiating Interment Danish Lutheran Cemetery Lake Norden, South Dakota Visitation 5PM to 8PM Thursday, January 13, 2005 Trinity Lutheran Church Lake Norden, South Dakota Dora Charlotte (Severson) Andersen, daughter of Carl and Clara (Rossel) Severson, was born January 9, 1929 on the family farm near Erwin, South Dakota. She grew up and received her education there and graduated from Erwin High School. She was united in marriage to John L. Andersen on July 27, 1947 in DeSmet, South Dakota. Following their marriage she farmed with John on their farm south of Lake Norden all of their married life. She died on Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at the Milbank Area Hospital in Milbank, South Dakota at the age of 76 years and 2 days. Dora was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid, She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Birthday Club. She enjoyed bowling, family, visiting, baking, crossword puzzles and playing cards. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband John of Lake Norden; three daughters, Joan Aho and her husband Tom of Milbank, Sandra Aho and her husband Larry of Lake Norden and Nancy Hurtle and her husband Dave of Rapid City; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters, Maxine Bunker and her husband Lloyd of Jasper, MN, Evelyn Anderson of Lake Preston, SD and Helen Himrich of Madison, WI; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, five brothers and four sisters.
