Duane Raymond Lewno, Jr., son of Duane Sr. and Shirley (Morgan) Lewno was born October 11, 1966 in Seattle, Washington. In his younger years he lived in South Dakota and various other places with his father being in the military. He graduated from Princeton High School in Princeton, West Virginia. Duane Jr. was united in marriage to Frances Lynn Proffitt on September 19, 1987 in Havoe, West Virginia. They moved to South Dakota on April 27, 1997. He was employed as a plumber for SDSU in Brookings and also worked for Walmart in Brookings and Watertown. He died on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at his residence in Castlewood at the age of 48 years. He was an outdoors person and enjoyed outdoor work and loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandbabies. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Frances of Castlewood; a daughter Tabitha Yvonne Lewno Bock and her husband Andrew Bock; two grandchildren, Ryley Wayne Bock and Novaleigh Chevelle Bock, all of Watertown; his parents Duane Sr. and Shirley Lewno of Castlewood; and a host of other relatives and friends. He will always be remembered and loved in our hearts forever. Duane Jr. was preceded in death by his brother Alex. His funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Geise Funeral Chapel in Castlewood. Visitation will be from noon to service time on Saturday.
