Edward L. Lee Lake Norden, South Dakota Funeral Service 10:30 A.M., Monday, December 3, 2007 Trinity Lutheran Church Lake Norden, South Dakota Interment Pleasant View Cemetery Hayti, South Dakota Visitation One hour preceding services at the church on Monday. Edward L. Lee, son of Lloyd and Mary (McCullough) Lee, was born September 22, 1929 in Watertown, South Dakota. He received his education in Hayti, South Dakota and graduated from Hayti High School in 1947. After graduating he worked at the grocery store in Hayti and in 1951, he entered the United States Air Force and served until 1955. He continued his education at South Dakota State University and graduated in 1959. Edward taught school in Hayti for two years and Watertown for two years before teaching in the Plankinton Public School. He was later employed at the lumber yard in Hayti for seven years and was also employed for ten years at the Hamlin Elementary School as a custodian. He died on Thursday, November 29, 2007 at the Golden Living Center in Lake Norden at the age of 78 years, 2 months and 7 days. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Norden, the V.F.W., and enjoyed crossword puzzles, woodworking, gardening and bird watching. Grateful for having shared his life are one sister, June Hakeman her husband James of Lake Norden; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Myrtle Morrill.
