Granum, son of Selmer and Elnora (Nelson) Granum was born November 22, 1927 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He grew up in Sioux Falls and attended Washington High School. He was united in marriage to Jacqueline Sherman on July 18, 1947 in Sioux Falls. Ed was employed at John Morrell and Company for 37 years before retiring in the early 1980s. After retirement they moved to Lake Poinsett and then moved into Estelline in 2005. He entered the Estelline Nursing and Care Center earlier this month and died there on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at the age of 78 years, 2 months and 29 days. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Jackie of Estelline; one son Paul Granum and his wife Jeanette of Sioux Falls; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother Orville Granum of Sioux Falls; two sisters, Louise Lydic and her husband Bill of Chester, SD and Lavonne DaFoe of Sioux Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Ray, Melvin and Allen and one sister Florence.
