Evelyn Bass, 88, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the Estelline Nursing and Care Center.  Private family funeral services will be held Saturday, December 19 at 2:30.

Geise Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Evelyn Rose (Bremer) Bass was born on July 25, 1932 in Fulda, Minnesota, the daughter of Fred and Bertha (Spielman) Bremer. Evelyn completed her education in Fulda, MN.  She was united in marriage to Lewis (Luke) D. Bass on October 22, 1950 in Fulda, MN. Luke and Evelyn resided in Castlewood for many years before living in Watertown, Sioux Falls, and Volga. Evelyn returned to the Castlewood Assisted Living in 2009 and with declining health entered the Estelline Nursing and Care Center in 2010.

The family wishes to express it sincere appreciation to all the Leadership and Staff of the Estelline Nursing and Care Center for their patience, caring, and professionalism shown our mother during her time as a resident and in her final days.

Evelyn is survived by her sons Craig (Roxanne) of Castlewood, and Brad (Laura) of Sioux Falls: 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; sisters Darlene Sandhurst, of Fulda, MN, Lucille Magness of Avoca, MN, Gladys Henningsen of Sioux Falls, SD, Dennis Bremer of Slayton, MN.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Lewis; daughter Linda; her parents; brothers Fred, Lloyd, Wayne.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be directed to the Estelline Nursing and Care Center for resident activities.
