Frederika Wilhemina McClard, 90, of Estelline, SD died Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Brookings Hospital. Funeral Services have been set for 1:30pm Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at the First Reformed Church, Volga, SD. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 7:00pm Monday, June 2, 2008 at Geise Funeral Home, Estelline, SD. Frederika Wilhemina IntVeld was born March 17, 1918 in Rock Valley, IA to Bert and Trace (VanBeek) IntVeld. Willie received her education in rural school in Preston Township in Brookings County, SD. She was united in marriage to Clifford A. McClard on August 14, 1937 in Volga, SD. After their marriage they farmed near Estelline, SD. Willie was also employed at the Estelline Grocery Store for several years as well as the Estelline Nursing and Care Center and the nursing home in Brookings. In 1963 they left the farm and moved to Estelline where they lived until moving to Brookings in May of 2002. In 2007 Willie and Cliff celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. Cliff passed away December 8, 2007. She was a past member of the Hamlin Reformed Church and currently a member of the First Reformed Church in Volga. Willie especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed making afghans, quilts and doilies for her family and friends. Willie is survived by her daughters, Bernita Hicks, of Toronto, SD, Barbara (Lyle) Rossman of Watertown, SD, Beverly (Myron) Petersen of Daisy, ND and Beatrice (Gerald) Heismeyer of Plankinton, SD; sons, Harry (Darlene) McClard of Rockwall, TX and Bert (Mary) McClard of Witchita, KS; 15 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; two sisters, Cornelia Vangrouw of Inwood, IA and Margaret (Delmar) Westra of Pella, IA and two sisters-in-law, Jo IntVeld of Rock Valley, IA and Magdelena IntVeld of Estelline, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Martin, Arie and Conrad; sister, Elizabeth Feikema; three grandchildren, Timothy, Mark and Sarah and son-in-law, Russell Hicks.
