Her family moved to Redwing, Minnesota where she met Morley Hauschildt and they were married on September 2, 1950 at the English Lutheran Church in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. They lived at rural Ellsworth until 1957 when they moved to a farm near Wanamingo, Minnesota and she was employed at Kidsdud in Cannon Falls, Minnesota. In 1967 they moved to Lake City, Minnesota and farmed there until 1973 when they moved to Oak Center, Minnesota. In 1979 they moved to St. Peter, Minnesota where she was employed at St. Peter Nursing Home until moving to Lake Norden in 1983. She entered the Beverly Healthcare in Lake Norden on October 10, 1998 and died there on Monday, December 15, 2003 at the age of 74 years, 2 months and 5 days. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Morley of Lake Norden; five children, Steven Hauschildt and his wife Rose of Milleville, MN, Loren Hauschildt and his wife Gayle of Plainview, MN, Roger Hauschildt and his wife Lora of Coon Rapids, MN, Robert Hauschildt and his wife Theresa and Joyce Anderson all of Lake Norden; 15 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Pat Lunde and her husband Burnell of Wanamingo, MN, Genevieve Johnson of Ellsworth, WI and Norma Stelle and her husband Marvin, Jr. of Hager City, WI; two brothers, Glen Welty and his wife Jan of Ellsworth, WI and John Anderson of Hastings, MN; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter Wendy.
