Steve Barnett, Officiating Interment St. Francis de Sales Catholic Cemetery Estelline, South Dakota Jacalyn Jackie (Lentz) Fountain, age 51 of La Mesa, California died of Leukemia on June 3, 2004. She was born March 19, 1953 in Brookings, South Dakota to Bernard and Loretta (Gratz) Lentz of Estelline. She graduated from Estelline High School in 1971 and from USD in Vermillion in 1975. For most of her adult life Jackie worked in the business profession, most notably for Potomic Power in Washington, DC, for Norrell in Denver and Boulder, Colorado, and for the Essex Corporation in El Cajon, California. Jackie was united in marriage to John Fountain in 1983 and they were later divorced. She enjoyed hiking in the mountains, traveling, and spending time with family, especially her mom and nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends and co-workers at Coral Gardens. Jackie is survived by her mother, Loretta Lentz of Estelline; two sisters, Judy Baschnagel and her husband Brian of River Falls, WI and Jeanne Weibert and her husband Emanuel of Weldona, CO; one brother, James Lentz and his wife Beth of Pipestone, MN; many special nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Jack Lentz.
