James Dalrymple, son of Clifford and Jennie (Leonard) Dalrymple, was born February 23, 1934, at Estelline, South Dakota. He attended school in Estelline and then joined the United States Army. After his discharge he moved to Iowa and did construction work. He retired in 1990 and returned to Estelline. Jim died on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at his residence at the age of 74 years.

Jim was a friend to all.

He is survived by special friends, Beverly Donnelly of Lake Norden, SD, his dog Sam and many friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Sue Dalrymple Andrews.
