James Jim Davidson, age 64 of Watertown, died Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at his residence. He was born March 9, 1945 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Walter and Donna (Immerman) Reinhard. Since he was three years old he was raised by his mother and step-father, Chet and Donna (Immerman) Davidson in Watertown. He was confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown and graduated from Watertown High School in 1963. Jim was united in marriage to Karen Brenden in 1964 and they had two sons, Chad and Lance Davidson. He attended Dakota State College in Madison, South Dakota. He served in the Army National Guard from 1966 to 1972 and graduated from the Basic Officer Training Program in 1968. In 1986 Jim was united in marriage to Madeline Christensen in Omaha, Nebraska. He held many management/sales positions throughout the years including Cock of the Walk in Watertown, Larrabees Furniture in Ortonville, MN, Kentucky Fried Chicken in Gainesville, FL and the Library Restaurant in Yankton, SD. While living in Omaha he was a manager at Pamida in Holdrege, NE, and worked for BB & Runyon Furniture Company and Hy-Vee.
Jim was an avid golfer and proud of his hole in one. He also was an avid fan of the Nebraska Huskers and was very proud of his step-grandson Dion Jones for being chosen a Husker recruit.
Grateful for having shared his life are two sons, Chad Davidson and his wife Abbey of Carolina Beach, NC, Lance Davidson and his children, Brenden, Ian and Mackenna of Worthington, IN; three step-daughters, Sherry Christensen, Suzi Sundquist and her husband Dale and Sandy Perkins and her husband Anthony; step-grandchildren, Brenin Winbolt, Amanda Winbolt, Dion Jones, Halie Schneider, Bryan Perkins, Madeline Claire Sundquist, all of Omaha, NE; two sisters, Nell Rust and her husband Daryle of Lake Norden, SD, Mary Fisk of Sioux Falls, SD; one nephew, Eric Rust; three nieces, Amy Neitzel and her husband Mike, Becky Schaible and her husband Eric and Lisa Brunick and her husband Matt; one aunt, Nathalie Atchison of St. Paul, MN; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Reinhard and his mother and step-father, Donna and Chet Davidson.
