Jeanie Alice Kopman was born November 4, 1948 in Belle Fourche, SD to John & Bertha (Beld) Kysar. She was a lifelong member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. Her faith carried her through death.  Jeanie met then married Dale Roger Gunnar Kopman in Brush Prairie, WA on October 23, 1966 (the day of both of their parents' anniversaries).  At age 70, Jeanie left this life peacefully on December 11, 2018 at their home near Hayti, SD after a short battle with cancer and beautiful times around her bedside. She so lovingly cared for and served her friends and family, enjoyed traveling and working with her husband Dale in the garden, apple orchard and making pies and their various other hobbies.

She was dearly loved by her family (& friends) , who are so grateful for her example showing the way to Heaven; Her husband: Dale Kopman, her children:  Renee (& Mikael) Kemppainen of Battle Ground, WA, Rhonda Kopman of Baltimore, MD, Rachel Kopman of Vancouver, WA, Daren (& Cherie) Kopman of Hayti, SD, Rosanne (& Troy) Stewart of Arlington, SD, Dwayne (& Dawn) Kopman of Johnstown, Colorado, Dwight (& Stacy) Kopman of Hayti, SD, Roberta (& Roger) Smith of Lake Norden, SD, Rebecca (& Kurt) Thompson of Hayti, SD, Ruthie (& Jeremy) Wendling of Lake Norden, SD, & 106 grandchildren (including great grandchildren), her siblings:  Kathleen (& Dick Milne) of Sandy, OR, Cleo (& Gene) Prouty of Priest River, ID, Lowell (& Carrie) Kysar of Sheridan, WY.

Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents: John & Bertha Kysar, her siblings: Mary Wiggins, JoAnn Stewart and Ronnie Kysar, and her 3 grandchildren: Ashley Kopman, Laurel Smith & Stefan Kemppainen and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday December 15, 2018, at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, near Lake Norden. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday at the church.
