Jeffrey Angus Watt was born on March 25th, 1962, in Brookings, SD, the son of Angus and Pearl (Gorder) Watt. He grew up on the family farm 4.5 miles east of Estelline where he lived the entirety of his life. He attended the Estelline School District, graduating from Estelline High School in 1980. He graduated from Lake Area Vo Tech in 1982 with a degree in Ag Production.

Jeff married the love of his life Christine Green on June 18th, 1994 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Ashland, WI. They were blessed with two children, Samuel and Molly.

The three most important things in his life were Faith, Family, and Farming. Jeff farmed with his dad, Angus, his entire life until Angus's passing in 2008 and has been farming with his son, Sam, until his own passing. He sold Golden Harvest and Funk's seed corn with his dad over the years. He was very adamant about farm safety.

He was very active at his lifelong church, Trinity Lutheran Church in Estelline. He served many positions on the church council, taught Sunday school and confirmation classes, and always helped maintain the church. He was the Sexton of St. Johns Cemetery where he began groundskeeping with his mom in 1976 and continued with his family.  He was active on the Grange Township Board. He also served on the Estelline Community Oil board of directors for several years.

Jeff loved to travel when the farm would allow. His favorite trips included: Elk Hunting in Idaho with Mike Berwald, Washington D.C. with the Estelline High School Band with Sam, many trips to Ashland, and a 25th Anniversary trip to Alaska with Chris. He was also a lifelong supporter of Estelline activities, traveling to all his kids' events even after his kids graduated, including Molly's coaching and Sam's tractor pulls. This past summer he competed against Sam in his first pull this July. He enjoyed doing shop projects and loved restoring IH tractors with Sam, and proudly drove them through any parade he could with his kids.

Jeff was a loving husband and father always protecting and taking care of Chris and his children. He had the gift to be able to spark up conversation with anyone. He was very compassionate and kind and also had his own brand of dry humor.

Those left to honor his memory are his loving wife Chris; his children Sam and Molly; sisters, Linda (LaVerne) Mennenga, of Castlewood, SD; Lana (Gerry) Norgaard of Watertown, SD; and Lori (Marty) Stanwick, of Brookings, SD; Aunts Helen Gorder and Joyes Gorder, mother-in-law Caroline Green (Cliff Ceske) of Ashland, WI; sister-in-law Barb Ramlow (Dan Maves) of Amherst Junction, WI; brother-in-law Ryan (Vicky) Green, of Cloquet, MN. 13 nieces and nephews: Lisa Rodman, Lexi (Bob) Seeley, Lance (Heidi) Mennenga, Darcie (Tony) Montemayor, Darrin (Ashlee) Norgaard, Kylie (Austin) Gackstetter, Maggie Stanwick, Cris Ramlow, Alex Ramlow, Faith Green, Noah Green, Hannah Green (Judah Wallace), Sophia Green and 13 great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Angus and Pearl, his father-in-law Clifford Green, and a host of aunts and uncles.

Jeff will be deeply missed, never forgotten, and always loved.
