JoAnn Lorrain (Kysar) Stewart was born October 14, 1952 in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, the daughter of John and Bertha (Beld) Kysar. She was a lifelong member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church and the faith she received carried her through death. JoAnn's childhood and school age years were spent in Belle Fourche, South Dakota and Brush Prairie, Washington. She was united in marriage to Dwight Stewart on October 6, 1979. JoAnn left this life on Friday, February 1, 2013 at her home near Lake Norden after a long battle with cancer. She was 60 years of age. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Dwight of Lake Norden; her mother Bertha Kysar of Battle Ground, WA; four sisters, Kathleen (Dick) Milne of Sandy, OR, Cleo (Gene) Prouty of Springdale, WA, Mary (Ron) Wiggins of Vancouver, WA, Jeanie (Dale) Kopman of Hayti, SD; one brother Lowell (Carrie) Kysar of Sheridan, WY; three sons and two daughters, Troy (Rosanne) Stewart of Hayti, Anna Swanberg of Chaska, MN, Robbie (Andrea) Stewart of Vancouver, WA, Tracy (Callum) Hilten of Watertown, MN, Shawn (Becky) Stewart of St. Bonifacius, MN; 23 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. JoAnn was preceded in death by an infant son Cory Ray, her father John Kysar, one brother Ronnie Kysar, her grandparents, and several aunts and uncles. Her funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church near Lake Norden. Visitation will be from 6 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, February 5, 2013. Burial will be in the Apostolic Cemetery, rural Lake Norden. Geise Funeral Home of Estelline is in charge of arrangements.
