Joyce L. Gilligan, age 83 of Clear Lake and formerly of Estelline, died Friday, August 23, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Society in Clear Lake. Joyce L. Moeller, daughter of Theodore and Elsie (Jibben) Moeller, was born April 15, 1930 in Alvord, Iowa. She received her education in Alvord and was united in marriage to Warren "Bud" Gilligan on December 17, 1947 in Estelline. They lived in various cities in South Dakota including Estelline, Aberdeen, Watertown and Rapid City. In 1964, they moved to Dearborn, Michigan and lived there until 1987 when they retired and moved to Toronto, South Dakota. They returned to Estelline in 1995. Warren died on October 2, 2007. Joyce lived in Estelline until moving to Clear Lake. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary in Estelline. Grateful for having shared her life are four sons, Michael of Atlanta, GA, Daniel of Manistee, MI, Steven and his wife Joan of Howell, MI, Terry and his wife Barbara of Livonia, MI; two daughters, Kathy Stanley and her husband Tim of Copemish, MI, Linda Zoltowski and her husband Anthony of Cleveland, OH; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Minnie Moeller of Estelline, Jean Gilligan of Alexandria, VA; one brother-in-law Pat Gilligan and his wife Joan of Estelline; and a host of other relatives and friends. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Bud; her parents; and four brothers, Bernard, Marvin, Allen and Lawrence Moeller. Her Memorial Service will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Mt. Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church in Estelline with Rev. Michael Enderle officiating.
