Larry R. Clark, son of Loring and Ruth (Langendorfer) Clark, was born April 29, 1946 in Watertown, South Dakota. He grew up in the Lake Norden-Hayti area and graduated from Lake Norden High School. Larry attended SDSU in Brookings for a short time. During high school he worked at Land O Lakes and has continued to work there over the years as the company became Lake Norden Creamery and Davisco. He was united in marriage to Hope Andrews at Trinity Lutheran Church on January 13, 1973. Larry also farmed with his father until Loring's death and has continued to farm with his son David. He died on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Lake Norden at the age of 65 years. He attended Trinity Lutheran Church. Larry's passion was farming and he enjoyed classic cars, attending car shows and collecting toy trains and tractors. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Hope of Hayti; their children, Linda Clark of Clear Lake, SD, David Clark and his wife Kaylene of Lake Norden; three grandchildren, Jasmine, Lane and Dalton; two sisters, Margie Clark of Lake Norden, Janet Mobley of Elizabethtown, KY; two nephews, Sam Maradey and George Mobley; and a host of other relatives and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Norden with Rev. Gene Peterson officiating. Visitation will be from 4PM to 7PM Wednesday at Geise Funeral Chapel in Lake Norden. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery at Lake Norden.
