Laurel Shay Smith Lake Norden, South Dakota Funeral Service 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 25, 2008 Old Apostolic Lutheran Church Lake Norden, South Dakota Interment Apostolic Lutheran Cemetery Lake Norden, South Dakota Laurel Shay Smith, daughter of Roger and Roberta (Kopman) Smith, was born October 7, 2000, at Watertown, South Dakota. She lived with her family near Lake Norden and had completed 1st grade at Hamlin Education Center. She died on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls at the age of 7 years, 9 months and 15 days as the result of an accident. She was a baptized member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. Laurel had a very loving nature, enjoyed spending time with her sisters, cousins and friends and loved to swim. Grateful for having shared her life are her parents, Roger and Roberta of Lake Norden; her siblings, Marcel, Chanler, Shaylen, Mia, Rylen and Randen; her grandparents, Dale and Jeanie Kopman of Hayti, SD, Charles and Joanne Smith of Lake Norden; a great grandmother, Bertha Kysar of Battle Ground, WA; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two cousins, Logan Smith and Ashley Kopman.
