Lavonna Krause Estelline, SD Lavonna Krause was born on April 23, 1933 in Havana Township, rural Deuel County, South Dakota the daughter of John and Alice (Goens) Niemann. She died on Saturday, September 24, 2005 at her residence in rural Estelline, SD at the age of 72 years, five months and one day. Lavonna was baptized on February 16, 1955 and confirmed on February 27, 1955. She received her education in rural school in Hamlin County. After receiving her education and until her marriage she worked for numerous families as a nanny and housekeeper. She was united in marriage to Orville Krause at Clear Lake, SD on October 25, 1953. Following their marriage, they farmed in Grange Township, rural Deuel County, where they have continued to make their home. She was a very active member of the Hidewood Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, and held various positions in the ladies aid. Lavonna spent many hours sewing, crocheting, and caring for their lawn. She especially loved playing cards and visiting with her family and friends. Lavonna is survived by her husband Orville of Estelline, SD; two daughters Julie Hamann (Russell) of Brandt, SD, Debra Schwartz (Ronald) of White, SD; two sons Danny Krause (Shirley) of Estelline, SD; Garry Krause (Sherri) of Estelline, SD, 13 grandchildren, Trever Schwartz (Lana), Elizabeth Beduhn (Adam), Ellen Hamann, Teresa Mallett (Patrick), Reid Hamann, Ruth Hamann, Robyn Krause, Travis Krause, John Krause, Katelynn Krause, Sarah Krause, Samuel Krause, Kendal Krause; five great grandchildren, Dylan Schwartz, Morgan Schwartz, Denton Schwartz, Thomas Mallett and Collin Beduhn; four brothers Bernard Niemann (Ardith) of Bemis, SD, Henry Niemann (Phyllis) of Clear Lake, SD, Merle Niemann (Deanna) of Estelline, SD, Kenny Niemann (Jackie) of Arlington, SD; one sister Doris Schiefelbein of Clear Lake, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Lester who died on September 20, 2005. Funeral Services: 1:30PM Wednesday, September 28, 2005 Hidewood Zion Lutheran Church Rev.
