LaVonne "Vonnie" Linneman Ness, age 67, of Lake Preston, South Dakota went to be with the Lord on July 25, 2013. She was born May 8, 1946 in Estelline, South Dakota to Alphonse and Mildred (Keimig) Linneman. Vonnie graduated from Estelline High School in 1964. She enjoyed being a housewife and mother to two lovely daughters. She worked part time as a caregiver at the Estelline Nursing and Care Center and managed a restaurant in Lake Preston. On April 26, 1985 she married Melvin Ness and they lived in Lake Preston. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Melvin of Lake Preston; her mother Veronica Linneman of Estelline; one sister Marlena Bauer of Beresford, SD; two daughters, Melissa McComish of Clearwater, FL and Michelle McComish of Holiday, FL; two grandchildren, Amber Naugle of Ocala, FL and Dakota McComish of Clearwater, FL; one great grandchild Preston James of Ocala, FL; one aunt and two uncles, Jackie Hinsvark of Woodburn, OR, Francis Keimig of Estelline and Maynard (Elizabeth) Keimig of Brookings; and many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Alphonse and Mildred Linneman. Her funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Monday, July 29, 2013 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Estelline. Visitation will be from 5PM to 7PM Sunday at St. Francis Catholic Church, followed by a Scripture Service at 7:00 PM.
