Lena Olson Lake Norden, South Dakota Funeral Service 10:30 A.M., Friday, April 29, 2005 Old Apostolic Lutheran Church Lake Norden, South Dakota Interment 4:00 P.M., Friday, April 29, 2005 Riverview Cemetery Chamberlain, South Dakota Visitation 5PM to 8PM Thursday at Geise Funeral Chapel in Lake Norden Lena Grace (Stewart) Olson, daughter of Archie and Irene (Workman) Stewart, was born July 3, 1922 at Nisland, South Dakota. Her family moved to Gann Valley, South Dakota in 1935 and later moved to Ft, Thompson where she graduated from high school in 1939. She was united in marriage to Archie Olson in Chamberlain, South Dakota on May 24, 1941. They made their home in Ft. Thompson. Archie died on February 20, 1977 and Lena continued to live at Ft. Thompson until entering Beverly Healthcare in Lake Norden in April of 2003. She died there on Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 24 days. She was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church and enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her children and grandchildren. Grateful for having shared her life are her son, Aksel Konrad Konnie Olson and his wife Emelia Mimi of Ft. Thompson; four grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; one sister, Ruth Roberts of Sheridan, WY; and a host of other relatives and friends. Lena was preceded in death by her husband; one son Leo Edward Olson on June 23, 1972; three brothers, Charles, Bob and Ralph; and two sisters, Madeline and Florence.
