LeRoy E. Shearer, 84, of Tuttle OK, formerly of Goodwin, SD, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022, under hospice care with his family by his side. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, April 1, 2022, at Geise Funeral Home in Estelline.

LeRoy Eldon Shearer was born on September 1937, in Sioux Falls, SD, the son of Loretta and John Shearer. He grew up in Brookings, and attended school in Brookings. He enlisted in the US Navy and served during the Korean Conflict. Upon his discharge from the Navy, he went to work at Conoco and Elevated Tank Service. He was united in marriage to Darlene Timmer on March 4, 1960, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Estelline. SD. The couple was blessed with three children, Rose, Jon and Michael. The family would move to Watertown where LeRoy took a management position with Schwigers, which later became Northern Trucking. He transferred to Northern Trucking's Sioux Falls branch before eventually returning to the Watertown where he retired.

LeRoy was a fun-loving guy, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping by the lake, flying airplanes and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his two children, Rose (Steve) Starr of Elkton, SD and Jon (Carlita) Shearer of Moore, OK; seven grandchildren, Angie, Amy, Aaron, Justin, Clairessa, Lindsey and Dallas and eight great grandchildren.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Darlene; son, Michael and four brothers, Howard, Richard, Rosco and Ike.
