Obituary

Linda Marie Johnson, 75, passed away peacefully at her home in Bryant, SD on June 20, 2026. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Old Apostolic Lutheran Church in Lake Norden, South Dakota. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service, starting at 10:00 a.m. at the church. An evening visitation will also be held from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Apostolic Lutheran Cemetery.

Linda was born to Robert and Frances Huikko on November 20, 1950, in St. Cloud, MN. Linda grew up in Maple Lake, MN, and she worked at Carlson Companies for 17 years and then the US Postal Service for 26 years. Linda lived with a burdened conscience for many years with a desire to be at peace with God and her fellow man. In 2003, she made a precious repentance and was able, by God’s grace to believe her sins forgiven in Jesus’ name and blood. She was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church and followed in faith in the doctrine of Christ and the Apostles which is proclaimed in the living Christianity and she remained firm and steadfast until the end.

In 2011, Linda married the love of her life, Ed Johnson. They started their life together in Moorcroft, WY and later moved to Bryant, SD.

Linda is survived by her husband, Ed; children, Heather (Scott) Trattles of MN, Heidi Schwartz of MN, Ryan (Jolene) Schwartz of MN, Amber Staricha of AK, Colleen of MN, Joleen (Steve) Staricha of MI; precious grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of other loving Christian friends and family members.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Richard Huikko, brothers-in-law, Dennis Houser and Dean Baker, sister-in-law, Debbie Huikko, nephews, Scott Capko, Reed Williamson, Anthony Huikko, Jerry Huikko and David Bartel, niece, Rebecca Schoenbauer.
