Louise S. Salmonson Estelline, South Dakota Funeral Service United Church of Christ Estelline, South Dakota Rev. Ann E.S. Webb, Officiating Interment Hillcrest Cemetery Estelline, South Dakota Visitation Louise Sophia Salmonson, age 93, died Sunday, September 26, 2004, at the Estelline Nursing and Care Center. She was born on January 18, 1911 in George, Iowa, to Julius and Fredricka (Ladwig) Runge. The family moved to a farm near Estelline, South Dakota in March of 1911. In 1924 they moved to a farm near Gary, South Dakota. Louise returned to the Estelline area in 1949 and married Robert Salmonson on January 12, 1949. They lived on a farm near Estelline until 1972 when they moved to Brookings, South Dakota. Her husband died in 1983. Louise entered the Estelline Nursing and Care Center on July 13, 2001. She is survived by one daughter, Karen Salmonson of Charlottesville, VA; and the following nieces and nephews, David Severson, Mildred Kilborn, Darlene Lambert and Carl Runge. Louise was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; five brothers, Otto, William, Hans, Fred and George; and two sisters, Marie and Margaret Memorials may be directed to any animal shelter or food bank.
