Enderle, Officiating Interment Hillcrest Cemetery Estelline, South Dakota Visitation 5PM to 8PM Friday at Geise Funeral Home in Estelline Luella Mae (Lamberg) Rust, daughter of Rudolph and Mary (Teskila) Lamberg, was born May 12, 1921 in Laketon Township near Brookings, South Dakota. She grew up near Lake Poinsett and graduated from Volga High School in 1939. After her marriage to George Rust on January 1, 1942 in Watertown, South Dakota, they farmed west of Estelline all of their married years. While raising her family Mae also raised chickens and had a large garden. She will always be remembered for her beautiful zinnias and daisies. She was also an Avon representative for many years as well as an accomplished seamstress. Mae entered the Estelline Nursing and Care Center on March 25, 1997 and died there on Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at the age of 83 years, 7 months and 3 days. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Dempster and was also active in the ladies aid. She was also active and held many offices in the Lucky 13 Extension Club. Grateful for having shared her life are two sons, Rodney and his wife Kandi of Dell Rapids, SD and Roland and his wife Cindy of Estelline; one son-in-law, Doug Stonehouse of Watertown; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Lillian Kleven and her husband Kenny of Mt. Royal, CA; one brother-in-law, Emil Rust of Hacienda Heights, CA; two sisters-in-law, Donna Lamberg of Estelline and LaVonne Lamberg of Joplin, MO; and a host of other relatives and friends. Mae was preceded in death by her husband George on May 17, 1999; her daughter JoAnn on November 18, 2004; her parents; three brothers, Walter, Willis and Wilbert; and three sisters, Leona, Vangie and Lillian Frances in infancy.
