Marcella (Sikkink) Pajerski, daughter of Lloyd Sr. and Nellie (Cook) Sikkink, was born January 27, 1920 at Castlewood, South Dakota. She grew up and attended school in Castlewood, graduating from Castlewood High School. She attended and graduated from Central College in Pella, IA and taught school in rural South Dakota for two years. She returned to business school, AIB College of Business in Des Moines, IA and following graduation took a position in Washington, DC with the Pentagon and later worked for General Omar Bradley with the Veterans Administration. Following her passion for interior design, she returned to school in the 1960s and earned an interior design degree. She spent the next 35 years as an interior designer in Utah, California and Florida. Marcella died at her home in Salt Lake City on Monday, April 7, 2003 at the age of 83 years. She was united in marriage to John Kenneth Evans in Chicago, IL and they were later divorced. She then married Walter F. Pajerski on September 6, 1958 in Des Moines, IA and he died on May 9, 1989. Marcella is survived by her daughters, Karen Evans and Janine Evans, both of Salt Lake City, Roxana S. Goreham and her husband William B. Goreham of LaJolla, CA; her granddaughters, Nicole and Desiree Goreham of San Diego, CA; her sisters, Phyllis Bruinsma of Castlewood, Mary Bartlett and her husband Jim and Marlys Robbins and her husband Larry, all of Ocala, FL; one brother, Lloyd Sikkink, Jr. and his wife Ruth of Castlewood; one sister-in-law, Dorothy D. Sikkink of Castlewood; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter, her parents, Lloyd Sr. and Nellie Sikkink, two brothers, Merle and Leroy Sikkink and a brother-in-law, Lester Buinsma.
