Margaret Rowena Becky (Bell) Tillma, daughter of Clement H. and Ora (Avery) Bell, was born November 9, 1908 at Jefferson City, Missouri. She spent her early years in Mobridge and Watertown, South Dakota and graduated from Watertown High School in 1926. She attended one year of commercial business school in Watertown. She was married to James Seibert Stinnett in 1945 in Denver, Colorado. She returned to Watertown in 1955 and was united in marriage to Cornelius Slim Tillma on June 10, 1958 in Watertown. After their marriage they lived in Castlewood. She was employed at Schweigers in Watertown for several years. Slim died on June 4, 2003. Margaret died on Sunday, June 4, 2006 at Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown at the age of 97 years, 6 months and 25 days. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Castlewood and the Study Club. Margaret enjoyed reading, knitting and painting and was also the pianist for the band The Incredibles for almost 20 years. Grateful for having shared her life are her daughter, Nancy (Stinnett) Kempner and her husband Roger of Omaha, NE; one grandchild, Chris Kempner of Los Angeles, CA; one sister, Jean Dorman of Castlewood; one brother, Richard Bell of Castlewood; and a host of other relatives and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three brothers, Donald, Roger and Owen; and one sister, Virginia. Memorials may be directed to Prairie Lakes Hospital Hospice or the Caring Clubhouse.
