Marge A. Pedersen, 89, of Estelline, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at the Estelline Nursing and Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Estelline. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday at Geise Funeral Home, in Estelline.

Marge A. Jorvig was born on May 10, 1928, in Castlewood, SD, the daughter of Lawrence and Louise (Goddard) Jorvig. She attended county school in Hidewood Township. After completing school, Marge began working at a Restaurant in Brandt. She was united in marriage to Albert Pedersen on June 28, 1946, in Pipestone, MN. The couple farmed in Deuel County for a number of years, raising livestock. Marge took great pride in her chickens and was very particular about her eggs. The family moved to Hamlin County and Marge began working as a Nurse's Aide at the Estelline Hospital. The couple moved into Estelline in 1971. When the hospital closed, Marge began working as a custodian at South Dakota State University until her retirement. She moved to the Estelline Nursing and Care Center in 2013 and resided there until her death.

Marge was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing cards, was an excellent cook and baker, and was known for her lutefisk and sweat soup. She loved going for rides through the Hidewood Hills.

She is survived by her four children, Doug (Agatha) Pedersen, of Estelline, SD, Ron Pedersen, of Estelline, SD, Curtis Pedersen, of Sioux Falls, SD and Sue (Dave) IntVeld, of Bruce, SD; six grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one brother, Donald Jorvig, of Estelline, SD; one sister, Joan Sykora, of Buffalo, MN; one sister-in-law, Bernice Jorvig, of Clear Lake, SD and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert; daughter-in-law, Noreen Pedersen; brother, Lawrence Jorvig and a sister in infancy.
