Terry Drew, Officiating Interment Castlewood Cemetery Castlewood, South Dakota Visitation 4PM to 7PM Wednesday at Geise Funeral Chapel in Castlewood Marian (Bolhouse) Van Dyke, daughter of Samuel and Lucy (Cass) Bolhouse, was born April 13, 1922 at Castlewood, South Dakota. She grew up and received her education there and graduated from Castlewood High School in 1940. She attended beautician school and then worked as a telephone operator until her marriage to Claus Van Dyke on June 2, 1955 in Castlewood. After their marriage they made Castlewood there home. Claus died on April 23, 1983 and she continued to live in Castlewood until entering the Estelline Nursing and Care Center on February 22, 2005. She died there on Monday, March 21, 2005 at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 8 days. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Castlewood and enjoyed crocheting, embroidery and reading. Marian is survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends, especially the Langenfeld family. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter Nancy in infancy and her parents.
