Marie Williams Estelline, South Dakota Funeral Service 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, February 14, 2006 United Church of Christ Estelline, South Dakota Rev. Warner Mostad, Officiating Interment Hillcrest Cemetery Estelline, South Dakota Visitation 5PM to 7PM Monday at Geise Funeral Home in Estelline. Edna Marie (Giddings) Williams, daughter of Benjamin and Lola Glee (Hamm) Giddings, was born March 29, 1914 at Rapid City, South Dakota. She spent her early years and received her education at Ft. Pierre, South Dakota and graduated from high school there in 1932. She continued her education at Springfield State College and Spearfish State College and received her teaching certificate. Marie taught school in Stanley County and in Vivian, South Dakota before her marriage to Leslie Williams on June 8, 1940 in Rapid City, South Dakota. They farmed in Lyman County until moving to Hamlin County in 1948. They continued to farm until retiring and moving into Estelline in 1974. She entered the Estelline Nursing and Care Center on December 11, 2001 and died there on Friday, February 10, 2006 at the age of 91 years, 10 months and 11 days. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Estelline, the Plymouth Guild, Senior Citizens Center, Lucky 13 Extension Club and the Birthday Club. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Leslie of Estelline; one son, George Williams and his wife Cathy of Denton, TX; one daughter, Janet Larson of Brainerd, MN; three grandchildren, Erik, Benjamin and John and his wife Amanda; one great granddaughter, Mykenzie; and a host of other relatives and friends. Marie was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
