Mary Ann Norman, 93, passed away on October 3, 2023 at the Estelline Nursing and Care Center in Estelline, SD. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Estelline, SD. A Visitation will be held the night prior from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Geise Funeral Home in Estelline, SD. Interment will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Cemetery following the Mass of Christian Burial.

Mary Ann Norman was born on March 4, 1930, in Estelline, SD, the daughter of George and Anna (Linneman) Gratz. She grew up attending and graduating from Estelline High School in Estelline. She was united in marriage to Laurence Norman on December 1, 1949. The couple farmed until 1981, when they sold their farm and moved to Sioux Falls, SD. Upon retiring, they returned to Estelline and in 2017, they moved into the Estelline Nursing and Care Center.

Mary Ann enjoyed her many years of employment at Herberger's in Watertown. She loved cooking and baking, always kept the house full of delicious desserts and a hot pot of coffee. She also enjoyed playing cards, going to dances with Laurence, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children, Daniel (Judy) Norman of Sioux Falls, SD, Thomas (Judy) Norman of Windsor, CO, Julie (Scott) Thomas of Tulsa, OK and Janet (Reed) Caldwell of Phoenix, AZ; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren along with her nieces, nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Laurence Norman, and her six brothers and sisters.
