Mary B. (Pedersen) Timmer, daughter of Mads and Marie (Fredricksen) Pedersen, was born April 22, 1913, in Kingsbury County, South Dakota. She spent her early years and received her education in Kingsbury and Brookings Counties. On October 31, 1936, she was united in marriage to Peter Timmer in Watertown, South Dakota. They owned and operated Timmer Well Drilling Service for many years. Mary also cleaned houses for various area families as well as did painting and wallpapering. Peter died on April 9, 1985 and Mary continued to make Estelline her home. She entered the Estelline Nursing and Care Center on October 13, 2006 and died there on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at the age of 97 years, 3 months and 3 days.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Estelline and was also active in Ladies Aid.
Grateful for having shared her life are six grandchildren, Randall, Michelle, Chad, Rose Marie, Jonathan and Michael; 11 great grandchildren; two sons-in-law, Virgil Huebner and LeRoy Shearer; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Peter; two daughters, Marjorie and Darlene; her parents; seven brothers, Elvin, Donald, Andrew, Paul, Marinus, Albert and Harold; and four sisters, Clara, Annie, Helga and Helen.
