Tillie (Everding) Ball, daughter of Albert and Emma (Kenkler) Everding, was born July 13, 1906 at Secor, Illinois. She spent her early years and received her education in rural schools in Codington County, South Dakota. After her marriage to Edward Ball on June 4, 1931 in Hayti, South Dakota, they farmed north of Watertown in Elmira Township for 10 years. They then moved to a farm near Grover and later to a farm near Bruce before farming near Lake Poinsett until 1978. Edward died on December 4, 1983. She entered the Estelline Nursing and Care Center in June of 1980 and died there on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at the age of 99 years, 5 months and 15 days. She was a member of the Lutheran Faith and enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, making rugs and helping on the farm. Tillie is survived by a nephew, William Everding, Jr. and his wife Mary of Brookings; 2 nieces, Darlene Dulitz of Webster, SD and Kay McMartin of Texas; and a sister-in-law, Elsie Everding of Watertown. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, and three brothers, William, Henry and Charles Everding.
