Melanie D. Mack-Carroll passed away at her home in Castlewood, SD on June 20, 2017 at the age of 43.  Memorial services will be held at the American Lutheran Church in Castlewood, at 11:00 am Friday, June 23, 2017 viewing to start at 9:30 am.

Melanie Diane Lewno was born on Nov 2, 1973 in Watertown, SD.  She attended elementary school in Chadron, NE, then moved to Castlewood and graduated from Castlewood High School.

Melanie worked as a Breakfast Manager at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Watertown.  She enjoyed refinishing furniture, gardening, crafting, watching movies and spending time with family.

Melanie is survived by her loving husband, Brian Carroll, of Castlewood, SD; three daughters, Miranda, of Watertown, SD, Chloe and Payton, of Castlewood, SD and one son,  Liam of Castlewood, SD;  her mother, Cheryl and Duane Lewno of Castlewood, SD; one brother, Kenneth and Kristina Lewno of White, SD; two sisters, Kristi and Stef Goldhorn of Castlewood, SD; and Michele and Travis Smith of Watertown, SD; as well as several nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Melanie is preceded in death by her father Gale Lewno.
