Michael LeRoy "Mike" Shearer, son of LeRoy and Darlene (Timmer) Shearer, was born August 31, 1964 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He grew up in Sioux Falls and Watertown. After his education he worked as an auto mechanic at Schweiger, Inc. in Sioux Falls and also worked in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and Loveland, Colorado. In the fall of 2006 Mike had a heart attack and has been disabled since that time. He lived in Oklahoma with LeRoy before moving to Rapid City in 2009. Mike and his soul mate Liz Good have been together for several years. Mike died on Monday, August 1, 2011 at Rapid City Regional Hospital at the age of 46 years. Mike was baptized in the Lutheran faith and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He also loved music and cooking, especially grilling. Grateful for having shared his life are his soul mate Liz Good of Rapid City; his children Angie, Amy and Aaron and their mother Cheryl Hulbert, all of Grand Rapids, MN; one granddaughter Kendra; his father LeRoy Shearer of Tuttle, OK; one sister Rose Starr of Brookings; one brother John Shearer and his wife Carlita of Moore, OK; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Darlene on July 14, 2006.
