Raymond L. Buschenfeld, 79, of Toronto, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020, at the Good Samaritan Society in Clear Lake, SD. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 6, 2020, at Geise Funeral Home, in Estelline. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home in Estelline.

Raymond LeRoy Buschenfeld was born on February 3 ^rd , 1940 in Hendricks, MN, the son of John and Albena (Dohlman) Buschenfeld. He attended Longman Country School before beginning his lifelong career in farming. Throughout the years, he helped many farmers in the area.

Raymond was a talented, self-taught musician, playing the accordion and piano. He loved playing pinochle and in his later years, puzzling. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing. He was quick to help a neighbor or a friend. Raymond was a member of the Mt. Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church in Estelline.

He is survived by his sister Lillian VanDykhorst of Watertown, SD; sister-in-law, Delores Buschenfeld of Brookings, SD along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Clarence and Melvin, along with his sister Alberta Weinberg.
