Richard L. Ziegler, son of Louis and Stella (Miller) Ziegler, was born February 9, 1934 at Gordon, Wisconsin. He grew up and received his education in Chicago, Illinois and after his schooling he entered to United States Air Force. Richard served during the Korean War where he drove fuel trucks to the front line. After serving with the Air Force for 12 years he was discharged and lived in Tehechpi, California. Richard drove over the road trucks for many years until retiring in 2000. He moved to Estelline in February of 1993. He died on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Lake Norden at the age of 76 years.

Richard enjoyed gardening and having coffee with his friends. He also loved to read and spend time on the computer.

Grateful for having shared his life are his mother, Stella Ziegler of Estelline; one brother Louis Ziegler and his wife Kathleen of Estelline; two sisters, Alice Reger and her husband Don of Mountain Home, AR and Marilyn Tierney and her husband Pete of Cyprus, CA; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his father Louis in 1981.

There will be no service but his family welcomes visitors to their home anytime to express sympathy and share memories of Richard.
