Rosella Jeanette (Sundal) Anderson, daughter of Amel and Alma (Warne) Sundal, was born April 10, 1919 at Dell Rapids, South Dakota. She spent her early years and received her education in rural school, Maydell District # 44, near Garden City, South Dakota and was a graduate of Garden City High School in 1938. She attended beauty school in Sioux Falls and was then employed at various beauty salons in Dell Rapids, Watertown, and Lake Norden. After her marriage to C. Earling Anderson on July 12, 1941 in Brookings, South Dakota, they farmed near Lake Norden until their retirement in 1983 when they moved into Lake Norden. Earling died on February 17, 1997 and she continued to live in Lake Norden. Rosella entered the Beverly Healthcare Nursing Home on July 13, 2006 and died there on Friday, October 27, 2006 at the age of 87 years, 6 months and 17 days. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Norden, the church circle and an extension club. Grateful for having shared her life are one son Charles Anderson of Lake Norden; three daughters, Charlotte Nielsen and her husband Craig of Lake Norden, Ione Thomsen and her husband Bruce of Klamath Falls, OR, Marlene Herzig of Sioux Falls; nine grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; five sisters-in-law, Norene Sundal of Austin, MN, Jane Sundal of Palmento, FL, Esther Van Ness of Chula Vista, CA, Leota Anderson of Sioux Falls, Dora Anderson of Minneapolis, MN; one brother-in-law, Fredrick Anderson of Rapid City, SD; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband C. Earling Anderson; one great granddaughter, Sara Davis; two brothers, A. Wayne and Ivan Sundal; and two sons-in-law, Gary Koistinen and Rich Herzig.
