Funeral Service 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 7, 2011 Old Apostolic Lutheran Church Lake Norden, South Dakota Visitation 5PM to 8PM Wednesday, July 6, 2011 Old Apostolic Lutheran Church Lake Norden, South Dakota Interment Apostolic Lutheran Cemetery Lake Norden, South Dakota Sawyer Clark Kopman, son of Clark and Tina (Larson) Kopman, was born December 6, 1999 in Watertown, South Dakota. He grew up on the family farm near Bryant, South Dakota and was receiving his education at the Hamlin Education Center. He had completed the 5th grade and would have entered the 6th grade this fall. Sawyer died at 11 years of age on Saturday, July 2, 2011 along with his father and cousin Stefan Kemppainen as the result of an airplane accident near Hayti, South Dakota. Sawyer was a baptized member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. He was a very obedient and loving boy who had his father's nature. He loved being outdoors and being part of the farming operation. He enjoyed camping with his family, ice cream and playing with his many friends. Grateful for having shared his life are his mother Tina Kopman of rural Bryant; his siblings, Samantha, Caleb, Haley, Emmett, Walker and Sydney; grandparents, Felix and Mary Kopman of rural Bryant, Lance and Liz Rosenlund of Bryant, and Courtney and Tammy Larson of Castlewood, SD; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and classmates. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents and one uncle, Drew Larson.
